Fully Drawn Polyester Yarn (FDY)

Polyester FDY is an abbreviation for Fully Drawn Yarn. In some countries, FDY yarns are also referred to as SDY (spin drawn yarn). FDY is manufactured in a way similar to POY, except that the spinning speed is much more higher. Our manufacturing facilities are equipped with Barmag WingsTM FDY lines, which provide the greatest level of quality and speed. FDY is always utilized as a weft or weave material in the manufacture of textiles. Additionally, it can be knitted or woven with any other filament yarn to make a variety of other fabrics. It is mostly utilized in the manufacture of Home Furnishing Fabrics, Fashion Fabrics, Denim, and Terry Towels.

Processing Technology

2. Equipped with Oerlikon Barmag systems, all the critical properties such as tenacity, elongation, Uster variation and boiling water shrinkage are monitored during the process.
