Flame-retardant
It is a special group of flame retardant fibres and yarns developed to combine comfort and permanent safety without compromising on design. Special phosphorus-based compounds have been added to produce these long-lasting flame retardant PET fibers. This advanced product is produced with modified polyester that contains a flame retardant component that is attached to the molecular structure. When exposed to fires, the fibers will shrink into a ball shape without releasing any toxic halogen gas, making them extremely safe and reliable for producing fireproof products. We do not recommend using our flame retardant yarn with other fibers as this may affect the flame retardant qualities of the resulting fabric.
